Divine Light Center specializes in affordable and personalized wedding services and ceremonies. Rev. Dr. Nikki assists in providing couples with weddings that are important and significant to the couple and their families. Rev. Dr. Nikki is a North Florida licensed ordained minister and pastoral pastor with over 28 years experience as a wedding minister. She is registered with the Duval County Marriage License Department. She has performed many beautiful and inspiring custom weddings from simple to ornate complex ceremonies. Whether your wedding ceremony is traditional, non-traditional, spiritual, civil, in a small intimate setting or in front of hundreds of your closest friends and family, Rev. Dr. Nikki will preside as your wedding officiant and create a tender, touching and personal wedding ceremony where your heart feels at home.
Rev. Dr. Nikki's favorite services are based on love and then various materials are added to fit any specific circumstances. These include the needs of the bride and groom and selections that are especially important to them and their families and their traditions. Wedding requirementsLegal Requirements - The bride and groom must obtain a license from a courthouse in the state of Florida. You will need a valid driver’s license or passport from the state or nation of your residency and a social security card for identification. The bride and groom must both be present to secure the license. There are no blood tests, waiting periods or other delays. The license will cost $93.50. If either party has been previously married the courthouse will need to know the date the last marriage ended. Most courthouses in Florida are open from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Once you have secured a Florida marriage license you can get married anywhere in the state within 60 days of the date of issue of the license. If this is your first marriage Duval County requires the bride and groom, to take a premarital course with a minister registered with the county. After taking this course and presenting the certificate you will only pay $61.00 for your license. Divine Light Center offers a Premarital course. Ceremony Fees: The fee for the wedding service is $200 & up depending on the size of the wedding. Normally this is paid at the time of the planning meeting or at the wedding. All fees should be paid prior to the beginning of the wedding ceremony. Rev. Dr. Nikki arrives early on the day of the wedding to complete all the required legal documents, including obtaining the necessary signatures. A $100 non-refundable scheduling fee is to be paid at the planning meeting to make a time commitment for your wedding and secure the date on her calendar. The scheduling fee protects the couple's time and location selected for the wedding service in her schedule. Every couple making a tentative commitment for a wedding ceremony will receive an immediate confirmation after their initial contact. If scheduling is critical for any reason couples often mail their deposit check immediately and then find a convenient time for their planning meeting with her in order to secure a date and time on the calendar. Participation: Family and friends of the bride and groom are specifically included in the service if desired, not merely forced to be silent spectators. Services often include elements that demonstrate the newly created marital relationship by the lighting of a unity candle or the presentation of flowers and / or special gifts to parents. If the couple has children present, the children can be included in the vows so a complete loving family is created and affirmed at this special time. Filing of Marriage License - The minister who performs the wedding is responsible for returning the completed license to the Clerk of the County Court, who will record and mail you your marriage license. If you wish to obtain a certified copy of your marriage license in person you can go to the Marriage License Bureau or any of the District Court Offices which provide Marriage License services. You must provide them with the information indicated above and the appropriate fee of $3.00 for the first copy and $2.00 for additional copies. Guidelines for a marriage ceremony
